To encourage a new generation of urban policymakers and promote early career research, the Wilson Center’s Urban Sustainability Laboratory is teaming with USAID, the International Housing Coalition, World Bank, and Cities Alliance to sponsor the 6th Annual Urban Poverty Paper Competition for students enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program working on topics relating to urban poverty in the developing world.

The Wilson Center’s Urban Sustainability Laboratory, in partnership with USAID, International Housing Coalition, World Bank, and Cities Alliance, is pleased to announce the 5th Annual Urban Poverty Paper Competition for graduate students. The competition calls on students currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program to submit paper abstracts on topics relating to urban poverty in the developing world.

To encourage a new generation of urban policymakers and promote early career research, the Wilson Center’s Comparative Urban Studies Project, USAID, the International Housing Coalition, the World Bank, and Cities Alliance are co-sponsoring a fourth annual paper competition for graduate- and PhD-level students focused on the challenges facing urban centers in the developing world.
